I have a question about LORs.

On TMDSAS and on their website, it says that TCOM-UNT requires 2 LOR from "faculty that know you" well. Plus, an extra letter. They then say they recommend a letter from a DO physician.

My question is this:

I have a LOR from a DO, but I don't know how good it is since I shadowed him for 3 days only. I have other letters that are much better. Do you think it would be worth it to use one of my slots for the DO letter, or should I not submit the DO and submit 3 better letters?

You do not need a DO letter for tcom so submit your three best letters. If you end up getting an interview then you can ask if you can send in your DO letter as a update/supplemental to be considered with your overall application.

If your stats are competitive, you really don't need the DO letter for TCOM, especially if you don't think it's very good. If, however, you are below their averages/borderline, then I can only assume that having a DO letter would be a good way to strengthen your app a bit.
