Teaching Abroad for a year before D-School

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i honestly couldnt c how any adcom could view ur decision in a negative light...it seems like the experience would enrich ur education and only help with ur interpersonal skills. i could even see someone bein intrigued by ur decision next year when u apply n really be curious to meet u. u prolly have already thought this much out for urself so hopefully the positive feedback will help if this is really what u wanna do

I haven't applied yet, so I don't know for sure... but isn't most stuff done online? If it is, applying from abroad would definitely possible if you can travel back to the states for interviews.

there are 6 month programs for teaching english overseas, why not apply and interview then take the time before classes begin to go abroad.

If i get accepted in december, I have a spot reserved for me to teach in seoul from january to june. they have some good incentives (especially the pay). I have told my interviewers about this situtation and they have praised me for my wanting to teach overseas.
