Hi
I wanted to share with you some new knowledge I have come across:
Apparantly, many of my medical school colleagues here at UConn have had previous teaching experience on account that it is something specific looked highly favoribly by medical school admissions personnel: "medical schools look highly upon teaching skills."
It makes complete sense that a medical doctor is benefited from previous teaching experience by way of explaining disease processes better to their patients.
However, do you think that previous teaching experience will enhance the chance of an applicant to gain admissions to dental school?
Personally, I think if previous teaching experience is such a benefit for the medical school applicant, then it would be the same for the dental school applicant.
Just some food for thought.
