Tell me about Dermpath...

I'm a 2nd year in the middle of path right now, and just had my first exposure to Dermpath. Can anyone in the field or going into it tell me about the process? I know nothing about it. What's residency/fellowship like? How competitive is it? What's the job market like - do most people go private, or university? Essentially, I could use an "intro to dermpath" 101. Thanks folks.

a few quick things: you can get into dermpath via pathology or via dermatology, they make a very healthy living in general, and it's considered one of the most competitive fellowships in pathology because of good salary and lifestyle, and because you're competing for the fellowships against both pathology residents and dermatology residents.
