tell me about yourself as in a personal background or academic/extracurricular background...

Highlight some personal characteristics that will convince the interviewer you are a great fit for their school and back them up with situations. I doubt you need to brag about your accomplishments as those should be in your application and usually the interviewer would read them before they meet you.

Just be yourself, unless yourself is anti social then don't. You have to understand something. These people have heard every rehearsed line in the book, ex: Why do you want to be a dentist? Because I want to help people, etc. Just be straight up but in a tactful way or they will see right through you.

If you've got nothing else, look in the mirror before you go. Pick something. Scar on the cheek, brown eyes, good physique, etc. Pick one thing and talk about it. I got this scar when I was five.... No one else in my family has brown eyes, my sisters always said I was adopted but when you're from a big family...
You get the idea. Everybody has something. Not everything fits into 4500 characters on a website.
