When they ask you to tell them about yourself.....what do they want?? Do they want you to start from the beginnin, eg where you were born and blah blah?? or somethin specific?

Tell them about you. It's their question, but it's to your benefit to answer with what you want them to know. I'd give a quick sketch of your youth, let them know how you decided to study medicine, and hit any high points that show you're a great candidate for their school.

Imagine they said, "Tell me about yourself, especially why I should admit you to this school."

not necessarily compare yourself... just make yourself stand out. let them know why you would be an asset to their program.

"tell me about yourself"

Split between personal life and academic life.

Tell them about your hobbies, what you like to do for fun, how are your friends, what do you do w/ your friends, how is your family, what are your interests besides medicine, college you went to, how was life growing up, any remarkable incidents that changed your life, etc.

Academic life: Tell them about your classes, ones you loved, ones you didn't like as much, classes you thought were interested, teachers you've admired or helped you a lot along the way...

USE your imagination.

Interviewer: Tell me, <young man> <young women> about the consequences of the worse mistake you ever made in your life.

You: blah blah blah <please fill it in>.

Interviewer: Oh, I see. Now how would you advise others in the future to avoid that same stupid mistake you made?
