You will probably want to know WHY you chose to apply to that school. They are under the assumption that you have a valid desire/reason to go to that school, not that you randomly chose a school to apply to based on its name. The interviewer will probably ask you why you chose that school. Yes, you would probably want to do a little research about the school to get an idea of what it's like there. Check out the schools website and visit the city if you can.
