of the following schools:

Albert Einstein, USC, Ohio State, Tufts and New York Medical College

Is it true that it is more difficult to get accepted at a west coast school than an east coast school?

thank you😕

It's harder to get into a cali school yes. I'm not sure about Oregan or Washington.

It's definitely tougher to get accepted at West Coast/western U.S. schools if you're not from the area. Lots of the state schools out there have few spots available for out-of-staters, and if the adcom is not very familiar with your undergrad (i.e., your school has sent students there frequently in the past few years) you're at a distinct disadvantage applying from the East. My pre-med advisor says that if you're interested in going out West, the time to do it is residency... it's just not likely to happen for med school.
