Just curious...when did you guys apply? I finished my supp in beginning of January and havent heard a response.
I sent my supplemental and PharmCAS apps both in december, I think it was 7 weeks before the deadline. So that would make it... about mid-december. It was a slow process, pharmcas had to receive my stuff in the mail, then it had to calculate GPAs, then it had to send it to temple, and then temple waited to receive my supplemental...
I got my interview invite mid-january.
Did u send in ur pharmcas? do they have all ur documents? paid ur fees? did temple actually receive ur papers (u shoulda gotten a confirmation slip that ur transcript was shipped)?
I overnighted my supp and got confirmation that it was there. I also got an e-mail from the school saying it was under review. Still waiting....when is your interview?
i already had my interview, i had it a few days ago. i know that i was part of the second week of interviews, because I had a friend who had an interview in the first week. They started the week of february 2nd, and theyre now doing it every day as far as i know.
did pharmcas mail out ur application? i wasnt sure if u meant that ur supp was under review...does pharmcas list ur Temple app as "Mailed"?
When can I get the invitation letter for interview?
I've already sent my other stuffs early, but my pcat score has not been sent yet cuz I took it in Jan 24, 09.
How is the pcat score of others as usual applying Temple?
Since you just took your PCAT in january, ur scores wont be in until the first week of march (or end of february if you're lucky). You won't get an interview invite until Temple has your PCAT scores. So if your scores are available beginning of march, and by the time Temple gets that copy from PharmCAS, it will probably be mid-March when Temple has it all. How did you do on the PCAT, and whats ur GPA like?

Any tips for interview...I'm invited for interview from Temple... and I wanted to know what kinda questions they ask
depends who you get as an interviewer. You could be asked any question, though. In my interview, the interviewer just created follow-up questions based on your responses. Some of the questions have nothing to do w/ pharmacy at all, i can honestly tell you that the questions I was asked did not resurface at the interview for anyone else. It's kinda like offering advice on 1 billion different questions that could be asked 🙁
My science GPA is 3.84, and I'm not sure about the cumulative GPA cuz some credits have been evaluated by WES. Also, I was not good in the pcat test. It was the first time to take it. How are your GPA and PCAT?
I have a GPA in the 3.7's, and my PCATs were upper 80s. How bad were your PCAT's?

My interview was earlier this week. Just be yourself because all the questions they ask are random based on what other applicants are in your interview. And the admissions people are very nice. Good luck on Tuesday.

Pharmcas mailed my app after calculating my GPA in the third week of Jan. I mailed my supplemental to Temple in the last week of Jan and got an interview invite on Feb 4 and scheduled it for the following week.

I had my Temple interview on Feb 6th, and a friend of mine on Feb 5th.. she said she didn't feel too good overall because the questions they asked kind of caught her off guard:
1. Pfizer bought Wyath, a multi-million deal among drug manufacturers.. How is this going to affect pharmacists?
2. If you had money to put towards research in either Alzheimers or Schizophrenia, which would you put it towards?
The questions I was asked:
1. Where are you from?
2. Where did you do your undergrad?
3. Why do you want to attend Temple's Pharmacy school? (for this, you could mention Temple Hosptial, which is a great place to grow and learn pharmacy in a hands-on way, in addition to interacting with the other health professional students... also, mention their diversity, both in their faculty & staff and also their student body)
4. Why should we pick you for our program?
Do research on the school, look up past questions from SDN, although I feel like since its a group interview, they first of all dont have a lot of time to ask everyone those types of personal questions and second of all, the questions could be ANYTHING... usually they are different every year..
I had my interview 2/6/09 but have not heard anything back... Has anyone interviewed either then or before and got acceptances/rejections??
Please post if you do!

Wow! Those are pretty tough questions to ask on the spot. I guess i had it easy because I was asked only 1 trivial question and 1 thinking question but those questions are interesting though.
As for that 'Alzheimers or Schizophrenia' question, I'm not 100% sure what they're looking for in that. But perhaps they were expecting you to discuss how much you know about each disease and then test your logical reasoning behind choosing an answer. mmm really interesting.
Just curious, who was the professor who interviewed you?
but i interviewed back in Feb 3rd and i got a response from them yesterday via email. So don't fret, you should be hearing back from them soon!
