Temple ACMS Dental Post Bac Program Fall 2009

I've seen on another thread Temple has started interviewing and accepting students to the ACMS program, but all the posts I've seen have been pre-meds. Are there any pre-dents who applied to Temple post bac and have heard any news about interviews and general timeline? When I called, the lady said they hadn't even started interviewing yet so I was confused from all of the posts on sdn. She said they'd starting interviewing in June (since June 1st is the app deadline) and I was curious if anyone heard the same thing.

Is an interview required and when are they held?

An interview is required of all applicants under serious consideration for admission (by invitation only).

• BCMS Program: Interviews days (1 per month) are conducted in February and March.
• ACMS Program: Interviews days (1 per month) are conducted in May and June

Did anyone receive an interview invite?

I haven't gotten an interview there. Seems odd if there's just 1 interview date in June since the deadline in June 1st to get your stuff in and they've already started giving interviews. Wonder how many spots they have left. Good luck to those who applied.

I just called today and they said they still have interviews they are going to hold in July so there's still hope.

Did anyone here interview for a spot on June 8th? If so, have you heard anything yet? They told us either yesterday or Monday we would find out our status, and I know several people were sent letters for the medical school post-bacc. Just curious if they sent out acceptances for the dental school part of the program yet.

For the people that got into and started this program, can you share ur stats? also can u tell us how many spots there are available and how many people apply to this program? I know they said 100 applicants for 5 spots above but that sounds like a really small amount....

is temple strict on their SAT requirement of 1200? i think i scored 1180 or something in the range. why are SATs a post bacc requirement? it doesn't make sense
