Now that's crazy! I applied to Temple last year and decided to re-apply this year. They told me this year not to apply thru AADSAS but just send any updated info and the application fee directly to them between Sept 1- Sept 30. I asked to apply earlier than Sept but they said no they would only review all applications in Sept. If you are having communciation with them, that means they are reviewing apps already!

Argh!!!! I could have my app in to them back in June when I applied to AADSAS! 😡

My essay was "How do you approach challenges"

Clearly there is no wrong answer, so relax, use intelligent words, proper grammar use, avoid mistakes in !punctuation, and watch your speeeling.

hey guys, ya i also have heard back from temple, i'm going to be interviewing on september 24th. my prob is that my grammer is not all that. i've gotten soo used to spell checker and other stuff like that, that i think i've forgotten how to write by hand! ha i hope that doesnt give me probs.

Pfft that's easy. First, and most important, you need to let them sit around for a year. Then when you're done procrastinating, you think about how you're going to tackle it. Wait another year. NOW, you are ready to do some more thinking. Then when the opportunity to tackle the challenge disappears, consider the challenge over and done with. You are ready to conquer new challenges. Therefore, you can proudly say that you have never failed an attempted challenge. Wallah! 👍

You could also try using big words like supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. That could definately help!

So temple will contact applicants by september. I hope so, I really like the temple school and philly aint bad either. They also field a hockey team, thats cool. How are these hockey playing dentist?

I interviewed @ Temple and when the essay part came the tour guide threw a bunch of sheets on the table and you got to pick which one you wanted. The 2 topics were "why are you good with your hands" and "what was your most challenging experience". You get 15-30 minutes to do it and I remember it being a low-stress thing.

yah, temple's essay is a joke...i think i had the same question as Bickle.

Anyways, I dont know why more schools dont make you do it, cause with services like Essayedge and crap like that, someone who doesnt know how to properly write an essay will send in a perfectly written essay to AADSAS and in my opinion is a misrepresentation of the person's skills. Having on the spot essays on easy topics like with Temple is a great way of knowing one's true writing skills and is why Temple does it during their interview....
