Congrats on your interview. I wouldn't stay anywhere near the school if I were you unless you intend to stay in your room the entire time...let's just say it isn't exactly Disneyland near the school. I recomend staying in Center City. It's lively, very safe, fun, there are plenty of hotels, and there's a subway that goes directly to the dental school (Broad St. line). If I remember correctly, Temple's website has a link that lists hotels to stay at while visiting the school and some of them give you discounts if you mention Temple. Good luck.

Center city sounds like downtown of philly. You can take subway from center city to the school.
Call and ask the hotel if they can even give you a free ride and then pick you up after your interview. My hotel actually agreed to do all this for me. Fortunatelly I got friends pick me up. But if you pay a lot to stay, they better provide you some extra service

Tink is right. I think Center City is what they call the downtown area of Philly. It is a very nice and happening area. If you feel adventurous, I would recommend taking the subway to get a feel of the people and the city. If you're worried about missing the interview, then take the subway home. The stop is literally right underneath the school. I had a great time in Philly...so much that I'll be going there next year. PM any ?'s you got. Good luck!

Temple also has a hotel on their main cmapus and a bus that will tak eyou from there to the dental school. One of my friends did this and had no problems. I took the subway to the interview and that was fine too.
Temple is awesome! I have seen all three school in Penn. and Temple is my favorite! Best clinical training and most interactive faculty and students! Hope your interview goes well. Temple is at the top of my list. Make sure you have the Philly cheese steak sandwiches. You are in for a Great MLK day!
