Right now temple and Scholl are neck and neck in my decision. Just wondering if anyone out there is in a similar sitution where those were their two finalists and what pushed you one way or another.

Are cheesesteaks a big part of your life?

You will have a lot of fun in Philadelphia, there is something for everybody. Scholl is pretty far away, Temple is in Center City, a huge plus and the area is not bad at all. The Clinic is SIGNIFICANTLY better at Temple. Regardless, you can get a quality education from both schools. Both schools can take you where you want to go if you put in the effort.

I'm nowhere close to knowing strengths/weaknesses of podiatry schools, but I do know one thing about Philadelphia. Although the area around Temple isn't invested with crime, you seriously need to watch where you go and what you say to people. I don't mean to scare you, just be cautious if you go to Temple because Philadelphia as a whole isn't that great.

Is that because Temple has a particularly large/strong clinic, or because Scholl has particularly weak/small one?

Decent, but being from the chicago area Italian beef is king, but I was impressed by the culinary offerings in Philly.

Crime is not too much of a worry to me, I went to college in a sketchy area of chicago (although rapidly gentrifying, my fellow alumni have mixed views on the change in the neighborhood part of us miss the urban grit). So it is something I am used too.
A part of it for me is a bit of a desire to get out of Chicago for a while, and both schools have their strong points. I got into NYCPM as well, but it is in 3rd now. Living in NYC would be awesome (the neighborhood is kind of bad, but not nearly as bad as some describe on these boards) but that school is not jibing with me quite as much.
