I have heard from several applicants that Temple has pimping questions, for those of you who had interviews there can you recall which topics they pimped you on? was it PM&R or general medicine?
I heard the same thing when I was interviewing last year but actually had a pretty laid back interview. I did get pimped at Jefferson although it wasn't too bad.
It was true a few years ago at least - you had a 50/50 chance of interviewing with the attending who would pimp candidates.
For me, I was asked PMR-specific questions, not general medicine, but it was in the context of the experience I already had in PMR, so actually not bad.
I doubt they expect you to know the answer to a tough question. I would bet what they really want to see is how you react to stress and your willingness to admit when you don't know and that you are 'teachable'.
If they are pimping with tough questions and won't take people that don't know the answers then they are pompous jerks and you don't want to be there.
