Temple, public or private school?

It's both actually. It may seem private because tuition does seem a little high for public, but Temple does give in-state tuition (about $10K less than out of state tuition). I don't fully understand it either, but I think Temple does get funding from the state, just not a whole lot like some other public schools from other states.

As far as their acceptances goes.....they welcome out of staters just as much as in-staters. There's no preference for in-staters, like at most public schools.

HOpe this info helps!

Yeah, Temple med and dental are "partially" state funded, which means they can *partially* (wait, I mean *entirely*) not care what state you're from. Consider Temple a private school as far as the admissions game goes. As a PA resident, I was shocked when I first saw this.... Pitt doesn't care about in-state status either, soPA residents really have no state school at all...... 👎
