Temple Question

How are we supposed to answer the Temple secondary question (what is the nature of your interest in Temple SOM)? Temple is one of a handful of those national private schools that attracts a huge number of applicants from all over because (1) it is private, and (2) the numbers are not insane.

Surely the true answer is that "I'm applying to Temple because it has a medical school, I have a shot of getting in there and it's decent by all accounts". I have to feel that pulling a bunch of BS off the website is about as transparent as it gets. Why is Temple inviting its applicants to fabricate paper-thin rationalles like this?

Anyway, so what did all of you say in the essay?

Slickness how was your interview? Did they address their probation at all? I know some schools like to assure applicants that their acceditation is not in jeopardy...

Temple is technically a State "affiliated" institution...which is not the same as state. But compared to the other schools in PA, it has the highest preference for PA residents..but still not the same as other state schools in other states.
