PharmCAS isn't sending out my application till Monday, but looking over Temple's supplemental application I'm confused.

1. Under mother's name it says "If different from applicant". Of course my mother's name is different than my own name...? Our last name is the same. Does that mean they don't need me to fill that part out or they just want her first name since it's different than mine?

2. In the preprofessional Requirments section it says in the Pre-req column: English 3 credits, (ESL courses not accepted) but then right next to it in the "credit hours" column it says "4". Is it 3 or 4? Wouldn't they have caught that mistake or am I missing something...?

3. Also in that english section for the course column it says "Analytical Reading and Writing". I have a 3 credit ENG course called "Traditional Grammar and Usage). Obviously it's not writing, but would it be considered Anaalytical Reading? basically the class was learning about grammar and then taking famous poems, lyrics, writings, novels and analyze the grammar and usage in that piece of writing. i don't know if that would count. That was a 3 credit course. I also took an upper level Bio Lab that covered my upper level wriitng requirement at my undergrad (gen bio lab covered my lower level writing). Would the combo of that english class and my upper level wiritng cover that ENG pre-req?

Somoene told me to wait for my interview so I get a chance to sit down with someone face to face to discuss my transcript and find out EXACTLY what they say I need to do to have them complete or should I send an email now or call or wait... i dunno

Please help.

I am in a similar situation on the English portion of your issue. One of their website pages also said 3-4 ENG credits. I have found that the admissions depts are more flexible than I first thought on class credits. For example I took a Physics sequence during my first BS and it came out to 6 credit hours (including lab) and several colleges have taken that instead of the normal 8. I have sent an email to Temple about the English classes and other items and will let you know what I hear.

Do you think they would completely waive something like a microeconomics class ( I have a B.S Biology ) or I should just take it?

If I were you I'd give them a ring Monday morning and ask. Sometimes how different all the school's requirements and exceptions are surprises me.

What sorts of exemptions have you found/was suprised about?
