Temple Vs. Michigan

temple trains you to be a very confident GP but if you wanna do research or specialize, umich has more opportunities

dude....

Michigan ..hands down.....

No thoughts for any other

I think that I'll enjoy Michigan better because it's more of a "college town" but I think I'll be more experienced and confident at Temple. 😕

Specialize??? 30/32 got into specialty programs from Temple last year...

ANY school gives you the chance to specialize, it all depends on how bad you want it.

Those are not considered specialties to me my friend. So to answer your question: NO.

I am talking the BIG FOUR:

Oral Surgery, Ortho, Endo, Perio. It may take into account Pedo...

anyone can get into GPR/AEGD.

chillll....personally i don't consider those specialties either but some people do...just clarifying...well that's an interesting statistic i was not aware of

you're welcome!😀

I should add this from another post I have written in:

be in the top 10-15% (even maybe ~20...but that is cutting it close) of your class.

If your class size is 30 student large then you have to be the top 3-5 in the class. If your class size is 150 then you have a little more leeway...but more people to compete against.

Any school is going to be hard. Some programs are tailored better than others. Some work you to death the first two years and then you take a few classes and work on patients the last two. Some start off nice and easy and then lay it thick for 2nd and 3rd year...etc.

Figure out what you like (if you have a choice of schools) and pick the one that is best.
