Temple vs NYU vs UMDNJ

Ok, I don't really belong on this site as a predent, but these are my choices for dental school this Aug.& would appreciate any & all feedback. I believe I have pretty much narrowed it to Temple vs. UMDNJ but the choice between those 2 is hard for me. I would love to hear pros and cons from current students at both schools. (I am a NJ resid.,but everyone gets residency @NJ anyway-but NJ would def.be cheaper.) I would especially like to know how current students feel about books vs.online learning (Temple still uses textbooks I believe whereas UMDNJ has all on computers),friendliness of faculty,safety on campus,how far away you had to go to find an apartment,how class did on Dental Boards,clinical proficiency (Temple has strong reputation here,but doesn't UMDNJ give good clinical training too?)

If you dont mind living in NJ, than I would say to goto UMDNJ, cause its very good clinically and much much cheaper...

I graduated from UMDNJ in '02 before the laptops arrived but from the people I know that have gone through the computerized curriculum they had no problem w/ it. I have a good friend that recently graduated from Temple and I did a health mission to overseas w/ students from NYU. I don't think it matters which school you go to. I have now met young doctors from at least 30 schools and I really don't see much difference w/ regards to their level of training. There are differences that exist regionally, but there is no one way to do anything in dentistry. As a NJ resident it would be cheaper to stay at UMDNJ. NYU and Temple are both very expensive. My friend paid Temple dental what I've paid at UMDNJ, undergrad, and tuition so far for my specialty training (>$200k).

Thanks for the input. The computerized curriculum has been a concern for me because a few dental students said they had problems with it. However, they were not students at UMDNJ-they went to other dental schools.Maybe UMDNJ's computerized curriculum is better.

Holden, what's your top choice? If it's UMDNJ then don't bother worrying about the other schools.
