Hi! Im starting this thread because I noticed there was not one made for the 2024-2025 post bacc class. I have just interviewed on March 4th and am waiting to hear back.

has anyone heard anything yet?

Hello, I'm a current post bacc, most of my friends here didn't hear until mid April if that helps. If you have any other questions about the program I would be happy to share.

thank you for the response !

were (and/or your friends) you able to find housing easily after getting an admissions decision late?

I think it took my roommate and I (he's also in the program and we met from the accepted forum) about a week from searching for a place to finalizing our decision and signing a lease. We were looking right out of the city (near east falls or bala). We didn't land a perfect apartment but it has worked nicely and haven't broken the bank.

i applied pretty late, but is there still a chance for me to receive an interview?

I applied on the deadline last year and heard back pretty quick

I just went back in my emails, I submitted my postbacc app on the 17,interviewed on the 19th and got my acceptance on the 21st April of last year. So there is still hope.

How many people got accepted to Temple after the postbac program?

Were there DAT and or GPA program requirements for acceptance?

around half of our class got accepted to temple, a few others were accepted at other schools.

currently, the DAT requirement is an AA score of 20 with competitive subscores, specifically in the science sections.
science GPA requirement throughout the program is a 3.5+ and you must maintain that GPA until the end of the program

So if you make the DAT and GPA essentially you'd get accepted? What are competitive science subscores. How many are in your class total? Was there anyone who did get the scores that wasn't accepted at Temple Dental school?

1. Yes, in addition to having “professionalism.” Think of the entire postbacc year as a 24/7 interview (I promise it’s not as intense as it sounds!)
2. Competitive subscores would just be anything above a 19 or 20. I got 19s in most science sections
3. Nope! However I have heard of people in previous years who retook the DAT lateeee into the summer after the program ended and they didn’t get in even with a 20+ AA. At that point your chances of getting in dwindle drastically because they’re also looking at the rest of the applicants outside of postbacc. I would recommend trying to get the DAT done before October or even December, but also make sure you’re confident. Not sure how this will be affected with the new DAT scoring though!
