Temple's is much better than before. I do have to agree though, BU's is pretty awesome. Those squares that follow your mouse around are cool.

University of Minnesota School of Dentistry has a great website as well! Very, very informative (statistically) for DDS applicants, but not very jazzy for Post-doctoral applicants. Check it out:

It IS about time! Temple's website actually scared me off of the school before, since I couldn't find any information that I was looking for.

I actually don't care for BU's website. It's pretty, but it took me a while to figure out how to navigate it. USC and NYU both have confusing ones too. I really like UW's website.

Does Temple have DMD/MPH dual program?

Not to sound conceited or anything, but yes...Temple now offers the DMD/MPH thanks to me. They have always been thinking about implementing it, but never had any students interested. But, I have been bugging them to formalize it before I start in August, and last month after a lot of email tag they confirmed that they have finalized it and that I will be the first and only one to be a part of it so far. Im interested in International dentistry and Temple offers the chance to do my practicum in Costa Rica, so hopefully Temple can become a leader in this field, and I really hope others decide to take part as well.

ALso, I just want to point out that although other schools such as Columbia, Tufts offer the dual degree, at those schools you must pay extra for it (extra 30K!!!), whereas at Temple it is free (just like their MBA)

ALthough Columbia and Tuft's MPH program are much better known, Temple is still accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health, and that is the most important thing because many MPH programs in other universities are not accredited.

So 26K/year for a DMD and a MPH is not a bad deal, eh?

Avingupta, add yourself to the class of '08-where you're going thread.

Accreditation in this manner by the CEPH isn't that big of a deal. In fact, I've been told that it really only matters if you are planning on being a hospital administrator.

The Temple site looks great!

I am going to have to call temple and ask them how to get into that program. 😀
