...500 interviews, and a thousand applications reviewed, it's only appropriate to start a First Annual AMA Thread, since the application season is upon us!

Anything from stats, to AADSAS, to interviewing is fair game.

1. What’s more valued, GPA or DAT? Low DAT high GPA vs high GPA low DAT

2. What is the process like after everyone’s interviewed and has left? How is everyone evaluated/talked about/debated and decided who is accepted and who is not?

What do you consider to be the most "stand out" characteristics in an applicant?
Do you think COVID will derail in-person interviews this year?

Sorry, thread got moved, just saw this!

It's school dependent - the higher ranked schools value DAT more, but there are exceptions (for example UCLA is more DAT over GPA, UCSF is more GPA over DAT).

By the time we interview, the rest of the applications is pretty much equalled and the interview is what matters most!

No single characteristic is important - rather it's a wholistic approach that we take
