Tens

Does anyone have information as to indications for tens belt usage instead of the handheld/adhesive electrode version?
Thanks!

As a PT lurking occasionally on this board I would say if they are expecting long term use or if they are particularly oily, or if the electrodes just don't last more than a week or so, the belt is actually much more cost effective and certainly easier to apply.

If they can't reach to apply them to their back.

Or if the TENS unit rep (EMPI, RS Med, etc) is cute and takes you out to lunch.

I will agree w/ truthseeker on this. Much easier to apply for someone who cannot reach their back, electrodes will last longer, etc. However, the only limitations is that it's limited w/ modifying electrode placement and obviously it can only be used for the back.
