Has anyone here terminated (or known someone who terminated) their NIH LRP? If so, can they give some information on the transition/termination and whether or not they had to repay the loans?
I am considering quitting my job and accepting another job offer. I would not be able to bring my NIH LRP with me (it is not a traditional academic environment where someone would mentor me to do my own research), but I would be doing research with more of a public health focus. I am trying to figure out if can afford to leave my toxic, current position/institution that is really impacting my mental health- but that would really hinge on whether I have to pay back my LRP or not.
Thank you!!
