test day admission and permit???

I registered to take step 1 a few months ago and got a orange scheduling permit. I then rescheduled my test date but haven't received anything in the mail. What do I need to take to be admitted to the test? Do I need to go to the nbme website and log in and print out a "scheduling permit?" Or do I have to print it out from the prometric website? Is this what I need to take on the test day. Thanks in advance.

The orange permit is your scheduling permit--they are changing over to electronic permits and in the interim there is some redundancy. Thus, if you had for instance lost the orange permit you could go online and print a duplicate. But the orange one is all you need (plus ID of course) to get you into the exam.
