I feel really silly asking this, but my test is six days away I couldn't find the answer anywhere.

Are we allowed to bring a pen and paper in to the exam with us? What about a cup of coffee?

No to all your questions. You are allowed only your ID and the materials they provide you. Your pockets must be completely emptied prior to starting the test and throughout the test. The only time you can eat or drink is during your breaks. They run a tight ship at those testing centers. Hope that helps. Oh yeah, they provide a locker to lock all your stuff up. Good luck.

If you're wondering about scratch paper though, they give you a mini whiteboard (a few, actually) and some markers. Or at least they did at my center.

You get to bring nothing into the room with you but those stupid headphones they will give you. They will give you a locker to stow whatever you want and you can access it during your breaks. They do give you a whiteboard and markers, which you probably won't use much.

the wouldn't even let me bring in 2 of their tissues! I had the sniffles!!! I had a sweater on, they said if I wanted to take it off I would have to bring it outside the testing room. I took my shoes off during the test and pushed them to the back corner of my desk so they wouldn't get taken away. 😡 Oh, yeah, and my locker, barely fit my lunch. Super strict.

I was lucky. They gave me a book for scratch paper instead of the white boards. I barely even used it though except to draw out a few biochemical pathways and some calculations.

They let me leave all my stuff that I might need to access quickly - coffee, snacks, Gatorade, Advil, Tums, tissue paper - out on a table in the front office. If I needed anything between sections (mostly swigs of coffee), it was really easy to come out, sign out, use what I needed, and sign back in.

Tip for test day-

A) keep track of your test day total time (not just block time)
B) DO NOT GET DISTRACTED BY HOT GIRLS SITTING NEXT TO YOU
AND DO NOT TALK WITH THEM DURING BREAKS

LOL - reminds me of when I took the bar exam and they were holding the Hawaiian Tropics spokesmodel bikini pageant right down the hall. Talk about distractions. 😀
