Howdy,

I was wondering if anyone could clear up exactly what happens on test day regarding the time limit. I am taking it February 21st and I talked to a few friends who have led me to believe that basically you have 8 hours to take the exam how you see fit. What I understood is that you can finish as many sections as you want how fast you want, etc. So for example, one friend said he had people leaving after like 4 hours.

What I wanted to know was if I finish a section with say 20 mins left, does that correlate to 20 mins more break time only? If someone could lay it out I'd appreciate it....gracias

Yes. If you finish early, that extra time gets added to your break time only. You will see two clocks on the screen. One (the master clock) which counts down from 8:00:00 (hours:minutes:seconds) and the other will count down from 1:00:00 (hour:minutes:seconds). The latter clock will re-start at the beginning of every block. The master clock is always running. It starts at th start of your exam. It runs while you are taking the test and while you are on break. You are given a maximum of 1 hour in break time (you can take that as 6 ten minute breaks or 1 one hour break or any other combination). You can take 2 hours of breaktime if you want, but you will run out of time on the master clock. So you wont have enough time on the master clock to finish the final blocks. Hope that all made sense.

hey thanks alot for that explanation it does help. Also, do you choose when to start each block...for example if I finish one block do I to click something else to move on to the next one or does it automatically start the next one.

If you have time remaining, you will get a choice to take a break or continue on to the next block. After you answer the 50th question, you will get a message saying something like "This is the end of the block. Are you sure you want to end this block?" Yes/No? If you choose "yes", you will get another message saying something like "do you want to take a break?" Yes/No. If you choose yes, you can sign out on a scheduled break. If you choose "no", you go on to the next block.

If you run out of time during a block, it will automatically take you to the next block. If you ran out of time while answering question #47, that block will automatically close and the next screen will show question #1 of the next block. No break...No message nothing. It will happen in a split second😱
