When you took the DAT...
was it

hot/cold
noisy/quiet (given earplugs/earmuffs)

And if possible where did u take it at...state and city
Thanks!

ALso, do they care how u sit on the chair cause Ive always had one knee up when I sit on my chair to study...and Im serious about this...

Thanks so much..Im taking the DAT this Saturday 😳

dress comfortably and take a jacket so that you have tempurature options. no they don't care how you sit, and at my test center they gave out headsets to block out sound, but it super quiet without them. There was also a little locker to store stuff in (snacks, etc).

I actually went to the test center before I took my test, to make sure I knew where it was and to see what it was like. I think it helped me be less nervous on test day because it was familiar.

u can sit however u want and u can decorate the monitor with your fingerprints. i took mine at culver city prometrics and they provided ear plugs.

just to let you know,

when I took the perceptual test, I was planning to tear a scrap paper into square to fold for the hole punching section. However, they did not allow me to do so, which totally screwed up my approach. I was confident that I would get 20s on PAT, but ended up with 18 because of it.

You are posting the same post all over this website,

What the hell made you think you could cheat on the DAT?

You're posts are cracking me up! They are all over the place...You mean they didn't let you use your Kaplan Flashcards during the test?

The ADA has given notice to dental schools that your score on the angle section will be affected by what quality of monitor you have for the DAT. You will either have a pencil and paper or a dry erase board and marker. Earmuffs come with the cubicle. You should also have a locking locker to put your stuff into while you test.

funny ****, hahahahahahahahahahhaha

The refresh rate on the monitors that the center I used were not set correctly. This resulted in a sort of pulsation...like when you see a television screen in the background of a video. It gave me the biggest splitting headache and eye strain, but the staff couldn't do anything about it. If you have multiple centers, I would go and check them out before the day of and pick the best one.

changing screens in the RC section took FOREVER!

I got that headache too! I read the whole 25 min orientation at start just to adjust my eyes.

Good Advice

NM. DO NOT DECORATE UR MONITOR. =P u dont need to though. they're all pretty straight forward imo.

uh it was horrendous.

freezing

loud

NO PAPER OR PENCIL,but white boards and erasers.

and they got fingerprint ink everywhere because they had to fingerprint me
3X since my hands were shaking so badly.

u serious??.. my DAT is in exactly 11 hours 50 mins and im getting very nervous...

OK. Relax and go to bed. I was freaking out before I took the DAT. All sort of physical manifestations of the stress were apparent, and all of them were completely unwarranted. I used the DAT forum to look up my topscore scores, see what others had studied etc., swallowed the pill and accepted the fact that I had to take the test now. I was fine...and you will be fine also. Almost everyone (who has studied) does better than they think they will do. I shrugged off adverse testing conditions, and so will you! You will do fine. Go get some sleep, and rock it in the morning! Good luck! Let us know how you did...I'm expecting a postive response🙂 Sleep....

I agree. I also did better than I expected and about 2 points better than had done on any of my practice test through kaplan and topscore. You'll do great. Best of Luck, I'll be checking in tomorrow to get some results. 20+ of course across the board.

Thanks guys...Ill keep u updated tomorrow 🙂

haha, worst thing u can do before test day is go on sdn, seriously.

oh, u get a break after the PAT section so u can rest ur eyes and eat a snickers bars or something.
