I have some trouble interpreting two questions on Texas A&M's secondary application.
"Overcame or is experiencing extreme hardship" and "Other adverse circumstances".
What is considered an "extreme hardship" or "adverse circumstances"?
Would overcoming public speaking be one? Or does it have to be hardships that debilitates your quality of life.

Tbh I have never experience extreme hardship. Yea.. school is hard and studying for the DAT twice is stressful, but is it really an extreme hardship? What happens if I don't answer these questions, will admission think badly of me?

this question is geared toward people who grew up in poverty, or lost a parent or close family member. If you haven't, you just don't check the box, it's a yes or no question, and if your answer is no then you don't have to explain anything.

I wouldn't write about overcoming a fear or anything. I didn't have anything to write so I didn't fill anything out (just make sure you submit it) and I don't believe it affected me negatively.

Don't feel obligated to answer questions that don't apply to you. You don't need to reach just to put down something for the sake of it - if anything, that would work against your application.
