CONGRATS!! That's what they call 'sittin pretty' down there isn't it?

Sorry, i have nothing to offer here except my congratulations!

Grats! Good luck on the waitlist! You are up there so your chances are really good!

I applied this year, but right after the interview I withdrew my application so good luck hopeful! It is a good school!

You found out already? I thought letters weren't being sent until March? Are you in-state? I am, and I haven't heard anything.

And hey, congrats! #4 sounds like a pretty good number to get! 🙂

I am Out of state. they sent the out of states out last monday. I believe in state will hear mid-march..and thanks!..i haven't gotten in anywhere yet, so this is not that relieving to me!!!

Howdy guys!!! I will be turning down my position, so another spot is open. Good luck ya'll! It's a great school (I figured 10 years there might be overkill).

Hey! I’ve heard A&M is a really great school, but if some us don’t get in then they’re may be some better options out there. I’ve heard a lot of A&M vets say that they did not feel like they received enough experience to work in the real world after they graduated because they only start to work with animals their fourth year of school. So maybe we could get more experience elsewhere. They also do have a good cattle program – but maybe some other schools have more small animal and exotic experience. But it might be kinda fun to live in that small country town for a little bit! We’ll all still keep our fingers crossed and let fate decide!

Does anyone know how the waitlist works at A&M? Do they only give 125 offers? or do they give more and expect people to reject their offers? Also, does anyone have any ideas about how many people have been taken off of the waitlist in the previous years?

I know someone who moved up at least 5 spots last year. They started in the teens, and ended up at #7 or so. So the list does move.

I have no idea if they "over invite" though.

From what I've heard, they do not over invite and they take people off the waitlist as other people decline so you might not hear anything until after April 15. I've also heard that in previous years as many as 20+ have gotten off the waitlist and other years, less than 5. So it really depends. I would recommend calling Yolanda if you want more concrete answers (since this is mostly speculation on my part and what I've heard from others), as she may be a bit more helpful. Good luck.

One of the recent class presidents was #17 on the waitlist.

Our class had someone come in from the waitlist on the second day of school because someone had dropped out of vet school on the 1st day of class...unbelievably rude imo but whatever.

So, it moves.
