Hey, what a coincident! My LMFU didn't change on 7/13. Then it changed on 7/19 and now I just got an interview invite from UTHSCSA for 8/20. 🙂
 
are these UTHSCSA invites via email or postmail?

Does anyeone know if UTHSCSA sends out letters through the mail in batches or they send them out constantly?

My TMDSAS page looks fine, what looks goofy? If you have problems call TMDSAS before 5 to get your problem fixed asap.

yea, mine's messed up, it says in big letters though, "An Error has Occurred Don't feel responsible"

Mine is unchanged. No LMFU. No nada. I think that means they've preemptively accepted me to the program of my choice.
 
UTMB supposed to give out another round of interview invites tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be one of them? 😀

It's generally ok as long as you do it within a week, as always the sooner the better. Earlier in the cycle, it's easier to reschedule, just keep in mind that they might bump you to much later than you might like. Also, anything after October is suicide for trying to get a pre-match offer on Nov. 15th.

And UTMB likes to emphasize that they don't generally reschedule interviews.

I had to reschedule several last year because I was on a study abroad program. You only should reschedule if it is VERY important. UTMB worked with me, but I also did not get into UTMB. UTH rescheduled with a bit of difficulty, TAMU was easy, and TCOM lets you pick your date.

Sort of sounds like thy expect for your entire life to be put on pause, go interview, then come back.
 
Thanks for the responses guys. I wanted to reschedule for UTMB, but I'll probably end up changing my flight plans. Since they emphasize that they do not like to reschedule.. they are probably looking for a darn good excuse.

The thing for UTMB is that they LIKE early interviews and I sneakily suspect they prefer earlier applicants over later ones. You just don't want to get shafted since it's way too easy to find a reason not to let you in.

IS UTHSCSA giving out invitations through email? I thought they only used snail-mail....how did you already find out that you were invited today as its only 8 am and I don't think the mail comes that early...JUST WONDERING...cuz im super nervous

Nope, snail mail. They mail out on Fridays. I got mine Saturday. Depends on when you check your mailbox...
 
Hey guys,

what's up with TAMU? Last week, I heard that they were sending out invites. But, apparently, no one in this thread is claiming that they have an interview coming up. Is this because TAMU had a computer gliche and couldn't send out the invites? hmmm.....
 
Nothing from UTMB...go figure.
 
Yeah i checked my mailbox this morning so that's why I posted it at x:xx am. Alok is right about TAMU...it seems nobody on this thread has been invited to an interview with them.

I think so, yeah. Nobody I know got an invite, and some are pretty qualified. My speculation is that they already filled up all the slots to the end of August, so they'll take some time off and let more applications enter the pool before meeting again.

For those who maybe went through this before or know about it I have a question about MCAT retakes and interviews. Should I not expect any interviews with a low initial MCAT untill my second one comes back? My application has been processed for some time and nothing yet. Awesome! 2 invites in one day. It's too bad I'm starting to sweat bullets because this is always the worst part for me. I don't particularly like interviews T_T. And one of them is on the first day of classes.

If you indicated that you'll retake the MCAT most schools won't consider your application out of courtesy until the scores come in.

I got an invite from A&M also, but did not get an email about it. I just happened to check my secondary page and it said I had an interview I needed to RSVP for. Did ya'll get an email or not?

Later, don't remember the actual submit date...but it wasn't processed/sent to schools until August 28th I believe. Probably why I didn't get an interview from A&M last year. Sure glad I got one this time! 😀

And yes, hookemhorns, I did get an email about it at 11:13AM...best check your spam folder if you have one!

Yes, I got an email. I would make sure TMDSAS has your email address correct or like diana said, check out your spam folder and relax your email security.

hey has anyone heard anything from either UTHouston or Southwestern?
 
So I went to UT-Houston today, and I was told that no applications have been reviewed yet. Reviewing will not begin until August 1st and interviews around the end of August. I was also told that very few pre-match acceptances will be given this year b/c of how many people ended up declining in the end due to acceptances out of state. Which is GREAT news for me being that I will not submit my app until next week. YAY!!!
