Both are great programs...among the best in the country.
I chose Baylor for many reasons, some personal (family).
For anyone wanting to live in the South, you'll do just fine at either of them.

I did a rotation at Austin and it is a fabulous place. The teaching is amazing, the camaradarie is excellent among the residents. The only downside is the call schedule which continues to be heinous into the 2nd and 3rd year. I have heard rumors that they changed this, and if they did, it would be a great all-around program.
Isn't Baylor Gigantic? Like 45 residents/year or something?
