I know there have been some mention about some of the Texas PM&R programs in the past, but I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on any of the programs they have interviewed, rotated at, or are currently residents in Texas along with basic info about the diff programs there. I am considering applying to them: any thoughts on the Baylor/UT alliance in Houston: is it necessary to apply to both programs? I looked at the following website: http://www.bcm.edu/pmr/html/education/residency/about.html
and it is mentioned that they students are ranked under one match, so I think its probably not necessary, but if so, which one do you choose to actually apply to. I think if it is the same it should just be one selection on ERAS. Any input on UT in San Antonio? Thanks

I regret not having interviewed at UT san antonio. They supposedly fly you down. check out their website. They do a good job at showing you facts about the program etc.

I would have interviewed here in retrospect. For family reasons wasn't especially interested in TX.

Yes it's the same program but there are slight differences. Basically though, you can double your chances of matching there by ranking both programs. (there are a certain number of slots for each program) Kinda like RIC - you can rank both the categorical and advanced - but they both have the same rank lists, categorical has 4 spots, advanced has 8.
