Hello everyone, I am currently an MS3 at a mid tier MD program in the South Atlantic. However, I am initially from Texas (lived there for 17 years before med school and did my undergrad and grad school there. all my family is there as well). I came to South Atlantic to try something new, but I want to go back to Texas for Internal Medicine residency due to my family and want to stay there long term. How hard would it be to match back to an IM academic program in Texas?

Not very difficult. There are many programs to apply to

I don't know really know anything about the signaling system that you kids do these days but would presume that you would not fall below 9th on your rank list if you have an "average" application
