Hi all, first of all thanks for your help.

I've been moving here to Texas for more than a year. ever since early April 2007. I'm living with my aunt and uncle in Houston. I've never thought of gaining residency in Texas, but now I do. I'm planning to apply to Dental school and know that if i become a resident of Texas, it will help me out a ton. Is it possible for me to become a resident even if I only work at home(taking care of my grandma). I graduated in another state but moved here afterward. Please help.....

Driver's license, voter's registration. That should be a start. You may be required to show some proof that you have been residing in the state since the date you claim.

I was told by tmdsas that I had to be gainfully employed, own property or be married to a resident for 12 month prior to submitting the application.
