Just looking to get some advice on my list of schools, thanks!
University of Texas (Austin, of course 🙂)
3.74 cGPA
3.72 sGPA
Solid upward trend: ended freshman year with a 3.16, and then made a 4.0 every subsequent semester.
MCAT: 11 PS/8 VR/11 BS - 30Q
Pre-Med Honor Society Member
Academic Honor Society Member
University Honors - 4 semesters
Research in Biochemistry lab - 1 semester (currently working in this lab)
Heme/Onc clinic volunteer (about 60 hours, currently volunteering)
Physician Shadowing:
General surgeon (colorectal), Pathologist, Hematologist/Oncologist, Internist (not a significant amount of hours, probably around 20 hours... going for the whole exploring different areas of medicine, I suppose)
Rec's:
Strong rec from English professor
Decent rec's from Cell and Biochem professors
I put my stats into the MS selector and here's what I've come up with based on what turned up:
UT Southwestern.
.Baylor
UT Health Science Center: Houston.
.UTMB Galveston.
. UT San Antonio.
.Texas A&M.
.TTU (Lubbock).
.TTU (El Paso)
TCOM (DO)
Tulane
Arkansas
Drexel
Loyola
Should I make any additions to broaden my chances? Also, do I even bother applying to Baylor? I feel like I'm obligated to at least apply hah.
