I am not a state of Texas resident..but just wanted to know if most texas schools give prefernce to in state applicants? I remember reading at most of the websites that they prefer in state students..is that true?

Getting into a public school in Texas is nearly impossible for a non-resident. It has been done, but not with great ease.
Private schools don't care where you are from.
