UT Austin Grad, Accounting major, 35 MCAT, 3.9 Science GPA, 3.72 Cumulative. Normal ECs such as volunteering and shadowing. What are my chances at: UTSW, UTH, UTMB, A&M, Baylor, Texas Tech, and TCOM? Apps are complete (including secondary and MCAT, which I just got) as of last Thursday.

Congrats on a great MCAT score! Assuming balanced subscores, with your numbers, even though it's later in the season, you'd have a good shot at being considered by any of the Texas schools. But your application is about your extracurriculars once you pass a school's screening criteria. Tell us how many months of clinical experience and community service? How many hours of physician shadowing (and how many types of doctor)? How many years of research? What leadership and teaching experience do you have? Knowing this, we can give you an idea of how you'd stack up compared to your competition.

13 PS 10 VR 12 BS I have 40 hours of volunteering at a hospital, and about 40 hours of other community volunteering. I have no research. I have shadowed two doctors for about 4 hrs each. One cardiologist and one neurologist.
