does anybody know if/when they sent the letters?...i think everybody who interviewed in january will be stalking the mailman this week...i think yesterday was a holiday for the post office so that doesn't help either lol
 
I got a call from Texas Tech asking me to turn in the rest of my immunization record. Is this a good sign?

Great sign. At our interview they were saying that if you get a call like that consider that a hint. They want to send you a letter but you don't have everything in so that they can send the letter.

Wait...I'm confused. Didn't we all turn in our immunization records on the day OF the interview? Why are people getting calls about this? 🙁 what about people who sent everything in on that day?

They may just be calling the people who didn't have ALL of the immunizations done. That's what I'm hoping for, at least.

this might be the missing of hepatitis shots. So like they need to turn in their first shot to the school....etc.

Ha, I'm sure yours is already in the mail. I hope it does mean that I have been accepted. Like someone said, maybe they are doing routine checkups on everyone who interviewed and hasn't turned in everything.

If you look at last year's thread for tech a lot of people got that call right before they received the letter so I'm sure you're in =). And I'm
hoping that they only called the accepted people who didn't have all immunizations done.
 
In applicant status, mine says 'Acceptance Pending Receipt of Letter/Seat Fee'

Congratulations! I wish mine said that but it doesn't so there goes all my hope 🙁
 
Omg I lied!! Mine says it too! On Merlin check the applicant status section, not admission section. What does that mean? Does it say that for everyone?

Congratulations. My admission section says no status too. Am I being too optimistic?

@McCarthy and aznhomieboi are you sure you checked applicant status? It's not in the admissions offer tab it's under applicant status =).

Application Status Review...the one with all your credentials received date and what not..
 
I just checked and my applicant status was also changed to Acceptance
Pending Receipt of Letter/Seat Fee. I really hope this means we got in! Good luck to everyone!
 
Mine still says Invited for Interview 🙁 This suspense has been killing me. Congratulations to everyone who (maybe) got in!! I hope I'll be joining yall
 
For everyone who had their statuses changed...you all were in the Jan 28th or Feb 4th interview dates, correct?
 
Check your email!!! I just got my acceptance email from Tech and my status changed yesterday online too 🙂 CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE!!

@Oncophage, I had my interview on January 14th.

@Spartan4433, I don't know much about UH but I've heard that they are both great schools. For me, Tech is better because it has a regional campus in Dallas where you can finish the last two years. I don't know about UH, but Tech seems to be really great for clinical pharmacy (more pharmacotherapy classes, etc.) and I know they even offer a few residencies of their own. Also, I don't know how important or accurate this is but here are the pharmacy school rankings by US news and world report
http://grad-schools.usnews.rankings...s/top-health-schools/pharmacy-rankings/page+2 . Out of all the TX schools, Tech is second and UH is 3rd.

I was at the feb 04 interview in Amarillo and I got my acceptance email today! Good luck to everyone who is still waiting!
 
I was at Amarillo Feb 4th interview. Still haven't heard anything.... 🙁
 
It doesnt say anywhere on the email what location we have been accepted for. Will it always be the case that where we interviewed is where we get in?

I don't think so because in the e-mail, it says that the campus assignment will be indicated in the actual acceptance letter =). Since this was only the first round of admissions and there are still so many seats open, I think we should be getting our preferred locations (I hope). And I don't think the location of your interview has any effect on your campus assignment.
 
Is anyone else in the situation where the Tech deadline to respond is March 8th but odds are UT will not have sent out letters yet. If so, do we just ask for an extension to the deadline?
 
^^I think you may the deposit and if you get accepted to UT and decide to go there instead, you just lose out on your deposit. I don't think they give extensions but I could be wrong.
 
I got a phone call asking about my immunization record yesterday. I had a hunch that I might get accepted, and it turned out that I REALLY got in! My Merlin status has changed too. I'm so excited!! I was in the 1st interview date in Abilene.
Thanks to the Pharmacy students here at SDN who had provided tons of advice and feedback!
Good luck to everyone else!! I'm sure you'll hear good news too!

Congratulations!! And yeah, thanks to everyone in this forum for answering so many questions and giving advice. I'm sure you will hear good news sooner or later because if you're in this forum, that already means you care a lot about pharmacy school and that it's a priority for you. Good luck!
