Just use that link..there's really nothing else u can do bcos the questions relate to ur life experiences.. Just be honest..one thing u could do is to take a pen n paper n write down the important events n challenges in ur life, how u handled them, how it affected ur personality, etc... This will make it easier for u to recollect n answer the questions.. Also, it may be a good idea to write down all the questions u have abt the school because throughout the interview there are sooooooo many opportunities to ask questions..they really make you feel comfortable and try to answer ur questions...hope that helps!!!

Got it now!!! 🙂

I didnt see anything about interview preparation...Hmmm, what am I missing? Help!

You will have to select the school that you are interviewing for..then click on the number next to it. It will take you to a new page..Here people have posted various questions they got asked at the interview.

try this link..this will take you straight to texas tech interviews. At the very bottom there is tab called "questions"..click on that.

Insanemutant, on a previous post you said the school changed the start time for the interview through an email they sent 2 days before the interview. Mine is this friday and I have not received anything yet. :\

Also, since you did not have to do the writing part in Abilene was your interview shorter than the 7 hours they stated before?

I also have my interview in Abilene on Friday and I was wondering the same thing!

I'm confused on what I should say if they ask me "tell me about yourself." I really hate that question. I'm not sure if they want to hear my life story or why I would be fit to be at their school and be a pharmacist. Any ideas?

Tell them what would make you a great pharmacist. Like previous experience in medical field, your education and work experiences that may be relevant. Thats what I plan to say. Nothing too personal. Good luck!

About to leave for Abilene within the next 2 hours!

Good luck to everyone that are interviewed tomorrow. It'll go by quickly!!!

@Ch3lsea: I came by this thread late today. I was gonna tell you to call your advisor to check. If not, then I guess just come early as the schedule indicates. When I was in Abilene, the process didn't start until 9 and ended around 4-4h15.

If you haven't received an email just follow the original time. Even if they do change the time, they won't make it any earlier. For us they just delayed it by 30 mins.

Well, we started late, as we spent 30 mins of so just sitting around and talking to each other. So the interview still ended at the same time. We got there at 8:30 and got done around 4:30

How was the interview guys!? My interview is on the 4th. I still haven't prepared for it yet. Any tips tricks?

So for people who interviewed yesterday... Any written test?

there is no writing part at the interview. However, we will have to pass an annual assessment in January 2012 if accepted with the writing part....and our writing PCAT score will also be looked at...if both scores are low (PCAT less than 3 and low annual writing assessment) they said a remedial class must be taken. Nothing to worry about for now, but just to keep in mind.

Just got back from Abilene. I think my interview went pretty good but not sure if I would like to spend four years there. So different than the big city. But the people at the school were all very nice and welcoming to us. Now it's more waiting! They said that they will be reviewing the first two group of interviewees on 2/4/11. And acceptances/decisions will probably be sent out around the 20th. It would be nice to hear something before my UT interview.

I think it's a closed interview - meaning they don't know anything about you.

That's correct. The interviews are closed.
The "review board" are the only ones who see the complete profiles for prospective candidates. It is the interviewers' jobs to display as much as they can about your interview to the review board.

During the interview, are we walking around outside a lot or inside? I just want to know what jacket I need to bring. I know it is going to be very cold in Abilene this week.

For Amarillo we only walked outside to travel to another building, so no time spent outside. But I think you should bring a jacket! Good luck!

You stay inside the entire time. There is only one building for the pharmacy school in Abilene. I'm so glad I didn't choose the 4th to interview! It was cold in the morning but went up to the mid 70s by the afternoon last Friday.

Lol thanks velvet you made me feel even more cold jk!

Hummm I'm debating if I should bring my large coat into the building with me or not. I don't want to lug it around all day. Hopefully it won't be too cold up there.

Well, you pretty much stay in one room the entire day and when you do leave the room they tell you to leave your stuff in the room. So you probably would be okay taking your coat.

They are going to reschedule us but I'm concerned because Tech is rolling admissions and I picked the earliest date possible for that reason. Amarillo is still open. Oh well, I can't complain because I am very lucky to have the opportunity to have an interview with them. However, I did already book my hotel and the cancellation deadline already passed. Why did the weather have to be bad this week?

I'm not sure if Amarillo is canceled but my e-mail specifically said Abilene. Oh well, I can't complain because I am very lucky to have the opportunity to have an interview with them. Well, I'm sure if you call & speak to the hotel folks and explain what happened then maybe they will be willing to still cancel your reservation without penalizing you. With the crazy weather going on, I'm sure they would understand. It doesn't hurt to try.

When did they say we would hear about the first round of acceptances?

it was stated on the other page, about 2-3 weeks after interview. They said the admission committee will look at Jan 14 and 28 interviews and send out acceptance to about 40-50% of the total candidates interview. So expect acceptance somewhere late February early March.
