TFE Line Counting & Cube Counting Methods

I understand that there is a line counting method for TFE and a cube counting method by Kaplan. Can anybody help a brother out and enlighten me?

for cubes, I start counting from the bottom and work my way to the top.

With enough practice, you can do this pretty fast and pick out the individual cubes. You just have to get used to 1sided cube, 2 sided, 3 sided, etc.

For TFE, I would be careful for counting lines. It's a great way to start but on the real DAT, chances are all of the answer choices will have the same number of lines which means it's really difficult to tell the choices apart.

Practice visualizing the 2D object in 3D, it's not the easiest but with practice you'll see it eventually, but for easy ones, yes you can just go ahead and count the lines and move on.

While i was going to crack dat pat, each cube counting question was presented with a different model, whereas in top achiever, there were 3 or 4 questions that related to one model.

On the actual DAT, does each question get it's own model, or are the questions related?

That's NOT true at all. Crack Dat Pat has 3 questions for each model on the cube counting section.
the real DAT will be the same.

That makes no sense whatsoever. You mean every Top view vertical line= Front view vertical line? What you said makes sense only if it applies to the End view NOT Front view.

using the method taught by kaplan, the number of horizontal events/lines seen in Top view should be equal to the number of vertical events/line seen in End view. I have been practicing this using crack dat pat, and it's been working very well for me. I have never done the DAT so i dunno if it will be usefull on the real DAT. Did anyone use this method on the real dat?
