Is it hard to visualize the shape in 3d in your mind on the real DAT. For example, is there any obscure shapes which will take forever to realize on the dat.

I'm just wondering because there are a couple of obscure shapes on CDP that takes maybe a couple of minutes for me to just recognize the 3D pattern.

Also how similar is pattern folding to the real dat. I hear people saying that there test is more shape oriented. The tests on CDP mostly had shaded figures and die with only a few questions specifically on shapes. Lastly, on the pattern folding can they still test us on proportions as well?

TFE on the real DAT were similar to CDP for me but I only took the first 3 CDP TFE tests. The shapes were not difficult to visualize and I also felt the answer choices given were obvious enough that you could eliminate all the incorrect options right away.

Pattern folding on the DATs were easier than CDP. I think I had a couple proportion folding where you need to have the same length/width of the patterns.

While I feel like Bootcamp was a lot harder than the actual DAT, I think it prepared me the most for the PAT and I owe my good PA score more to bootcamp than CDP.
