I have no clue how to distinguish between the answers. I've narrowed it down to C and D because of the front view. Which part are we suppose to be looking at to know how the middle part looks?

From the front view, you can see that the "L" shape piece attached to the top of the larger piece doesn't cover the whole length of the rectangle. In choice D, you would have a much wider piece on the top view.

Ah, then I stand corrected. That does make more sense. Either way, my method eliminates "D".
