So I've been hearing/reading that the 'line counting' method for the real DAT is not all that helpful. For anyone who's taken the DAT-- is this true?
Also, in my mind 'line counting' is simply counting the number of lines present (obviously) but can't you still differentiate by if a line's dashed or not, it's relative placement on the figure etc? So my question then becomes... looking at these aspects (count # lines... relative position... dashed/solid) still get you to the right answer choice? I'm a little worried about it because sometimes these shapes seem a little complex and it'd take a minute or two longer for me to actually visualize them rather than note the lines.
Thanks
