TFE Question from bootcamp

Hey

Hey everyone I have a quick question on number 37 from the TFE questions on bootcamp. So im getting confused on which ones are the dashed lines.

If a line is on the same axis as another line, do you not count it as a dashed line? Because aren't dashed lines for edges you can't see?

Maybe if someone could draw it out for me? That'd be great. Thanks in advance!

You're right that the dashed lines are the ones you cannot see from a given perspective. Seems like all the lines are accounted for on the correct answer (A). If you look closely at the top view given in the answer, the lines are not on the same axis, which is why there are several lines in the front and end view.

See that's why I'm confused. How come in general, any back lines (like the ones displayed in the back) be dashed lines since you can't see them?

The solid lines over-rides any dashed lines if they occupy the exact same spot. Does that clear up your question?

are there any videos that explain how to solve problems from that nature? I'm having hard time imagining these things and getting the correct view. please if anybody knows of a good youtube video let me know, I really appreciate it.
