I want to send a thank you card for my interviewers from the other day. But i feel like I should write more than just a mere thank you. u think it will be okay if I also mention that I like the shcool and would like to really attend...or just keep it at a thank you? Wat do u guys think i should also mention on the card?

Duh! Don't just say thank you. Make it personal. Did they answer specific questions for you? What did you like about the school? What experience during the interview would make you choose that school? I hope this helps!

Yeah I would definitely make it personable so they'll remember you once they make the decision.

I wanted to send one too (well, an email) but I forgot until 5 days or so later. They told us before we left that they will make the decision in the next 2 or 3 days. Does that mean I blew it? damn...

i would keep it personal, but would refrain from saying how much you liked the school or how well you fit with the school etc...

I don't think you blew it... I'm sure it's just coincidence, but I had 6 interviews and ended up with 3 acceptances, 1 waitlist and 2 rejections. I only sent out two thank you notes... and those are my 2 rejections. For what it's worth, my thank you notes were personal... I just don't think they play a big roll on whether or not you get accepted.

If you have a specific event that happened to you during the interview, which only applies to you, yes go ahead and mention it in the thank you letter, if not it's fine.

For example, during my interview my interviewer was also involved in martial arts and drums, so he gave me something to look up and so on. So I mentioned that in my letter.

It's just a letter showing your appreciation, it's not a deal breaker so don't stress it too much. It should take you 5 minutes to write it.

Admission directors....

Or try to send as many letters as possible to those interviewers, whom u know identity of.

Same here, I was thinking of sending one general thank you. Has anybody done this? I don't want to blow off thank you letters, but not sure of the best way to handle this.

I didn't send one to USC; there wasn't really anyone to address it to.

i didnt send any, and i still got accepted. Like it was said before, it really has no bearing on whether or not you get accepted. I was kind of surprised when i got to dental school and a lot of people around me, at leas in the bench lab, sent them. They looked at me as if it was a miracle i got in. lol.

so dont sweat it too much if you are worried about what you have to write. Just make it pleasent. 🙂
