I sent out thank you note emails to my interviewers but didn't get responses. is that typical? i got interviewed at one school by a more elderly woman and i think maybe she doesn't use email... is that possible? should I send another to the Dean of admissions? maybe i should relax 😉

Just relax and take it easy...👍

I agree relax, but I would have sent one to the dean's just for giggles. You don't want to make it to late either because then he/she will probably forget who you are. Also, don't underestimate older people and their knowledge of computers, my computer programming professor is well over 80 and he can use a computer better than any middle-aged person I know 🙂

I only sent one thank you email because I only knew how to reach that one interviewer. She replied back to me very quickly, and forwarded my email apparently to the dean, and another ADCOM...

What do you guys take of that?

I wouldn't expect to get responses from them. What would they say, "you're welcome?"

I'm sure they get several thank-you's from people (although not as many as they should I'm sure), and they probably don't take the time to respond to each one.

I hadn't really thought much about sending Thank-you's but I'll do it via snail mail- everyone loves getting mail.

I agree....They get tons of thank you emails and I don't think it's traditional for them to respond...I haven't gotten any responses from any interviewers....

I sent an email to my interviewer and the dean of admissions ( because we were given a tour by the dean and spent time talking, i wouldn't send one out of nowhere) They both responded same day with kind words a and personal message.

you want a thank you note for your thank you note hahaha😀

I sent out a bunch, and I haven't got a response from anyone.

Anyone who interviews you should get a thank you note. I sent hard copies so that they could easily go into my file (and yes everyone likes getting mail).

I would consider sending a thank you note to anyone else who does something for you during the day that should be recognized. It's your call. I sent a thank you note to a committee member who gave us a tour at UMDNJ. I think that's really it for anyone who wasn't interviewing me.

The thank you isn't going to push you more than a few millimeters through the door into dental school. I doubt it has any effect on acceptance.

I never sent out any. I got 6 acceptances. You can do it if you like, but don't feel required to do it.
