Should I use stationery or should I just type a note on good paper? Does it really matter? How much do the thank you notes come into play?

Man, these threads are driving me nuts!😡 Use the search function-- it works! If you want, write thank you notes... if not, then don't. They really don't matter all that much when it comes to your overall application. Although, many med schools wrote back and thanked me for writing a thank you note and that it was vital to my acceptance. 😉 Sorry, I just see so many threads with the SAME topic posted every other day...it really gets mind numbing.

Did you thank them for the sending you a thank you note for your thank you note?

Do you send the thank you note to the interviewer or the school (office of admissions)? I have been sending thank you emails to the interviewer. Do you think this is sufficient?

same junk over and over. This thread has been many times. And a thankyou, I'll stand by this, is a damn waste of time. We're doing it because we feel compelled to it, not because we seriously want to thank the prick that asked us if we'd perform an abortion on a 16 year old girl in acute distress and she has AIDS. I'd just like to thank you for F(*&ing with me.

Thank you notes will do *nothing* period. I have five acceptances and went to 11 interviews...not once did I send a thank you note. Unless you know the person really well there really is no point, yeah it is a nice gesture but these people are busy and they interview hundreds of folks...I was specifically told by an adcom to "please keep the paperwork to a minimum" If you just feel the compulsion to do it then do it but no leg up just because of that...
