Interesting list, especially considering some of these cities have dental schools.

what are you trying to say here?

I think cjb04 is just saying that it seems counterintuitive because the dental students are looking for patients for more experience while offering services for cheaper. It seems like a win-win situation for the population and dental students.

How is it counterintuitive? Just because it's "cheaper" doesn't mean people will either

a)travel for 1-2+ hours for dental service done by students

b)spend 3+ hours getting procedures done

c)have enough money to pay for the treatment - let's be honest here, a reduced bill can still be a large sum to some people, especially when they couldn't afford dental services for an extended period of time

Hm, that's interesting. Maybe if I ever get a vibe to move out of my state I'll visit one of those places. On the other hand, that article apparently doesn't discuss the possibility that populations that drink more wine and coffee could just brush their teeth more often and/or use commercial stain removers.
