hey nymed, i got it via e-mail.
No, you're right, my bad. I will cancel a few of these that I am absolutely sure about tomorrow, as well as some others that I did not list. I sort of applied very broadly because I wasn't sure where I'd hear from, and where I want to go.

Is the well known Northwestern the one in Chicago or the one in Evanston?

Again, that wasn't directed at you, rather at everyone with more than 10-12 invites...there are many, many others on here.
Wish I knew...I got the UWash rejection this afternoon. I think it was Linus that got the invite through "persistence."
It also appears that some programs (i.e. Yale, Emory, Duke, and Columbia) favored early application submission, rather than absolute credentials.
Interviews (all rec'd before MSPE):
BCM (Baylor Houston)
Emory
Duke
Miami
Scripps Green
Still waiting:
Stanford
UCSF
UCSD
OHSU
"No thanks, happytime":
UCLA via snail mail, rec'd 11/10
This thread is keeping me from Step II studying. 🙄
Hey all,
Heads up...I just called a major program as I had not heard from them. They said that they sent me an invitation to interview SEPTEMBER 24, and I never received it in either my ERAS or email. As well, I received an invitation to interview from another high tier program earlier this week, with a note stating that they intended to give me an interview eariler, but accidentally overlooked my name when actually sending the invitations. Maybe they are both lying and they feel bad so they figured, meh, give the kid an invitation, but still, you may want to call some of the programs you haven't heard from to check on the status of your application.
Have a great Thanksgiving.

How do you contact these programs. When I called Duke using the number supplied by ERAS, they give you a voice message directing you to the webpage.
It will be very interesting to see the "Charting Outcomes of the Match" 2008 edition...the credentials of people being rejected at 2nd, 3rd, and 4th tier schools this year is quite unsettling.
I think we should start a thread for "Applicant Profiles" where we list our stats, our invites, and our eventual match...this would be similar to the "compiled Step 1 experience" thread where applicants list their class rank, study materials, NBME practice scores, and their final USMLE score.
It appears that AOA status guarantees an interview at JHU, but at the other tier 1 schools it's a toss-up. It also appears that some programs (i.e. Yale, Emory, Duke, and Columbia) favored early application submission, rather than absolute credentials.
My N=1 experience says otherwise. We all love recognizing patterns, but I don't know if any apply in this situation.
Heads up to all those waiting for UChicago. I called and was told all final notices of inteviews/rejections will be sent on/by Dec 7. Another week to wait...
Best to all
Thats interesting- I am an IMG who scheduled an interview at Baylor ( BCM- Houston) recently and they had only one slot- -1) are we talking about the same program?baylor today. they had a bunch of dates open.
